One in all the primary orders of business for Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel on Friday was to handle the arrest of his offensive coordinator, Todd Downing.
Downing was arrested for DUI and speeding near Nashville within the morning hours following the team’s Week 11 win over the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.

In his usual day-after presser, Vrabel touched on the topic:
“All of us have an important responsibility as members of this community,” Vrabel said. “It’s something we’re going to take very seriously, gather all the data we are able to and do our greatest to maneuver forward. I don’t think discouraged is the word to explain it.”
One logical query that has been asked is, did the Titans have alcohol on the plane? That’s a matter Vrabel declined to reply.
Vrabel said the #Titans are “gathering information” and that he won’t have the ability to comment on alcohol being on the team plane or not.

The Titans head coach also noted he’ll address the team in regards to the situation once they return to the ability, but he has spoken to some players about it.
Vrabel said he’ll ensure that to handle the Downing situation with the team once they return. Said there are a couple of players he has already spoken to.

Shortly after news broke of Downing’s arrest, the Titans released this temporary statement, which has similarities to Vrabel’s.
“We’re aware of the reports regarding Todd Downing and are within the strategy of gathering additional information,” the team said, per Paul Kuharsky.
As is the case with all situations like these, the NFL will probably be taking a have a look at the matter and it’s possible Downing could face discipline. That’s something we likely won’t know needless to say for awhile, but it surely’s a possibility.
