MIKOŁAJÓW, Ukraine (AP) – Russia gave up its last foothold in a big city in southern Ukraine on Friday, paving the best way for the victorious Ukrainian forces to regain the one Russian provincial capital that might function a springboard for further progress within the occupied territory.
