After three days of extradition procedures this week, a Scottish judge on Friday, to nobody’s surprise, proclaimed Nicholas Alahverdian Nicholas Alahverdian – the American who faked his own death and who spent the last 11 months claiming to be an Irish named Knight.
It was 11 months since his arrest abroad before he reached his ruling on Friday; The 11 months during which a former Rhode Island resident who faked his death in 2020 used his skills of deception, procrastination and rise up to check the constraints of a legal system based solidly on etiquette and parliamentary procedure.
