The National Weather Service forecasts unsafe beach conditions along the central California coast on Sunday due to the increased risk of sneaker waves and burst currents.
Dangerous conditions on the beach are expected from Sunday 10.00am to Monday 10.00am.
This includes beaches that extend west and northwest along the central California coast.
National Weather Service officials recommend staying away from coastal rocks and piers, avoiding steep beaches, keeping a safe distance from the surf zone, and keeping children and pets out of the surf zone.
Visitors to coastal areas are also advised not to turn their backs on the ocean.
