Fire crews fought a large construction fire in Beverly Hills on Saturday night.

The Beverly Hills Fire Department received reports of high flames on the intersection of Olympic Boulevard and Shirley Place around 6:05 PM

When the firefighters arrived, about eight to nine shelters were completely engulfed, each containing many vehicles, officials said. The encompassing buildings were completely evacuated for safety reasons.

Fire crews say the shelters and all vehicles inside are prone to be considered a complete loss. Citizen’s film shows a colossal flame burning within the night.

Some flames jumped to the eaves of nearby rooftops, however the flames quickly extinguished to forestall spreading. The crews managed to extinguish the fireplace after a couple of hours.

Authorities say the carports likely contain hazardous materials, gasoline and oils, making the positioning rather more dangerous for firefighters.

No injuries were reported through the incident. Many agencies responded to assistance on the scene.
