OAKLAND – 4 men were injured, one after being robbed, in three shootings between Friday night and early Saturday in several parts of town, authorities said.
All victims are expected to get well, authorities said.
The shootout related to the robbery took place just before 6pm on Friday in Block 3400 on Fruitvale Avenue in Dimond.
A 50-year-old man told police that he had just returned to his vehicle after using an ATM when he was confronted by three masked suspects whom he believed were more likely to be minors. One in all the suspects had a gun and demanded money from the person.
The person said he gave the suspects his cellular phone and other items. As they were leaving, the person told police that he had stepped out of the automobile and tried to chase them, after which he was shot within the foot. He went to the hospital.
At roughly 9:27 PM on Friday, two men were shot and killed at block 2200 62nd Avenue in East Oakland. Some parked vehicles were also hit by shelling.
One in all the boys is 46 years old. The second man’s age was not available. The police didn’t say if the boys knew one another.
Apparently they were standing outside after they were shot and the police aren’t sure in the event that they were the intended targets. Quite a few shells were excavated in the realm.
The lads got their very own transport to the hospital. The motive for the shooting is under investigation and no arrests have been made.
And around 12:43 pm Saturday, a 30-year-old man was shot in the pinnacle within the Uptown area.
